Dubai Ride 2026

Dubai Ride 2026 opens the month on Sunday 1 November. The official Dubai Ride page gives a 6am start. The 4km route is flat and runs along Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard past Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa. The 12km route runs on Sheikh Zayed Road from Dubai World Trade Centre to Safa Park and back, with a climb over the Dubai Canal bridge.

The National's Dubai Ride guide says to arrive between 4am and 6am, that rides start at 6:15am and that gates close at 7:30am. Bring your own bike and wear a helmet. E-bikes are allowed, scooters are not. Last year, 40,327 cyclists took part.

Dubai Stand Up Paddle

Sessions at Hatta Dam run from 8am to 5:30pm on 7 and 8 November. The official page already says registration has closed.

Dubai Run 2026

Dubai Run 2026 is on Sunday 22 November and starts at 6:30am, according to the official Dubai Run page. Both routes start on Sheikh Zayed Road near the Museum of the Future. The 5km route turns into Downtown and finishes on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard. The 10km route stays on Sheikh Zayed Road and finishes at the Gate Building in DIFC.

The National reports that a record 307,000 runners took part in 2025. It also reports that everyone must finish by 9am, when the road opens again.

Dubai Yoga

Dubai Yoga closes the challenge on Sunday 29 November. The National reports that it will be at Zabeel Park. The official page says "stay tuned" for the start time, so it is not announced yet.

How do I register for Dubai Run 2026?

Dubai Fitness Challenge registration is free and takes two steps:

  1. Create an account on dubaifitnesschallenge.com with your email, Google or Facebook. This signs you up for the 30x30 challenge itself.
  2. Register for each event separately. Dubai Ride registration is open now. When we checked on 16 October, the Dubai Run page did not yet show a register button. Check back in the coming weeks.

Your registration gives you a QR code, which you need to collect your bib. You can add family members to your account.

Where to collect your bib

For Dubai Ride 2026, you collect your bib at the Dubai Municipality 30x30 Fitness Village at Zabeel Park, from 28 to 31 October. The opening hours are shared when you register. Bring your QR code.

Dubai Run bib dates and hours are not announced yet. Last year, Dubai Run bibs were also collected at the Zabeel Park village in the days before the run.

Fitness Villages and Community Fitness Hubs

This year there are three free Fitness Villages and more than 23 Community Fitness Hubs, according to the launch reports. The villages run for all 30 days, with free classes, ladies-only areas and courts for padel, basketball and football. Only the Zabeel Park village is confirmed so far. The other two locations are not announced yet.

Getting there on the day

Sheikh Zayed Road is closed to cars on Ride and Run mornings, so the Metro is the easiest way in. The RTA has not announced its 2026 plans yet. In 2025, Gulf News reported that the Metro ran from 3am to midnight on Ride day, and roads were closed from 3am to 10am. Dubai Run had the same plan.

Last year, runners used World Trade Centre Metro Station. Watch the RTA website and its social media in the week before each event. Our guide to the new Dubai Metro Blue Line shows how the network is growing.

10 tips for Dubai Fitness Challenge 2026

1. Register for each event early

The paddle sessions are already full. Sign up for Dubai Ride now, and watch for Dubai Run registration to open.

2. Save your QR code as a screenshot

Mobile data at a busy village can be slow.

3. Collect your bib early

The last day before an event is always the busiest.

4. Top up your nol card the night before

Queues at Metro ticket machines are long at 4am. Last year, the RTA asked runners to have enough credit for a round trip.

5. Leave the car at home

Roads close early, and parking near the start fills up fast.

6. Pick the short route with children

The 4km ride and the 5km run are flat and calm. They suit families, prams and first-timers. For more family ideas, see our guide to Dubai with kids.

7. Check your bike the day before

Pump the tyres and check the brakes. A helmet is a must.

8. Bring water and a light layer

You will wait outside before the start. Bring a small bottle and a thin top.

9. Use a Fitness Village for your 30 minutes

The free classes keep the habit going on busy days. Every big event falls on a Sunday, a weekend day here. Read how the UAE weekend works if you are new.

10. Plan the rest of your day

Cafes in Downtown and DIFC are a short walk from the finish lines. Plan breakfast there and take the Metro home.

A free month in a city that costs a lot

Almost everything in the Dubai Fitness Challenge is free, which makes it an easy way for new families to meet people. If you are planning a move, our monthly budget for a family of four shows what life here really costs.
