Global Village opening date and season length

The Global Village opening date for Season 31 is 14 October 2026. The official site shows the season as "14 Oct 2026 to May 2027". It has not named the exact closing day in May yet.

Khaleej Times reports that the gates open at 6pm on opening day, later than usual. The official site does not list a special time for that day, so check the app before you go.

Global Village is a winter attraction and closes for the summer. October to April are also the best months to visit Dubai, so the park is busy all season.

Global Village timings

These are the Global Village timings listed for Season 31 on the official site:

How to get to Global Village

Global Village Dubai is on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, near Dubailand. There is no Metro stop at the park, so you can drive, take a taxi or take a bus.

By car: free and paid parking

Parking is free in most zones. The official site lists these options:

  • Free zones P1, P3 and P5: about 400 to 450 metres from the main entrance, the Gate of the World.
  • Free zones P7 to P11: open only on weekends, public holidays and busy days. They are about 1km away. A free shuttle bus runs to the Cultural Gate, or you can take a rickshaw from about AED 10.
  • Paid parking: AED 120 per day close to the gates, or AED 75 per day in Paid Parking 2, about 350 metres from the Happiness Gate.

By bus

During the season, four RTA bus routes run to the park:

  • Bus 102 from CentrePoint Metro Station
  • Bus 103 from Union Metro Station
  • Bus 104 from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station, passing Max Fashion Metro Station
  • Bus 106 from Mall of the Emirates Metro Station

The official site says the buses usually run from 3:15pm to 11:15pm daily, with about 30 minutes of travel time. You pay with a nol card. The last fare RTA published on its own site was AED 10 in 2022, so check the RTA app for this season's fare.

What is inside Global Village Dubai

The official pavilions page lists 29 themed pavilions. Each one shows the crafts, products and cultural shows of a country or region.

The Carnaval has more than 190 rides, games and attractions, including over 125 arcade and skill games. There are small rides for young children and fast rides for teenagers. If you have young children, our guide to Dubai with kids has more ideas for family days out.

In Season 30, the park put on more than 40,000 shows, from kids' shows to a live stunt show, with fireworks on weekends. The Season 31 line-up is not out yet, so check the shows page.

10 tips for visiting Global Village Dubai

1. Buy tickets only on globalvillage.ae or the official app

Fake websites are selling Global Village packs. On 28 September 2026, The National reported that the park and Dubai Police warned residents about them. Buy entry tickets only on globalvillage.ae, in the official app or at the gate. For VIP packs, use the link on the official VIP page. Before you pay, check the web address in your browser. Packs bought from other sellers may be cancelled.

2. Pick the right ticket for your day

The Weekday ticket is cheaper, but it only works Monday to Thursday, not on public holidays. Not sure of your day? Buy Any Day. Tickets cannot be refunded.

3. Remember the Tuesday rule

Tuesdays are for families, couples and ladies only. It is often a calmer day for a family visit.

4. Arrive at 4pm, especially on weekends

The park is quietest just after it opens. Thursday to Saturday nights are the busiest. If you are new to the country, here is how the UAE weekend works.

5. Know where to park

Free parking is 400 metres or more from the gates, and on busy days you may need the free shuttle. Paid parking gets you closer.

6. Check the last bus before you stay late

Buses usually stop around 11:15pm, but the park stays open until midnight or 1am. If you stay late, plan a taxi home.

7. Dress modestly and follow the park rules

The official rules ask you to dress modestly and avoid public displays of affection. Pets are not allowed. Bikes, scooters, skateboards, hoverboards and roller skates are banned. Filming needs a permit. Not sure what counts as modest? Read our guide to the Dubai dress code.

8. Bring ID for free entry

Children under 3, adults over 65 and People of Determination go in free, plus one companion for People of Determination. Staff can ask for ID, so carry an Emirates ID or passport.

9. Set a separate budget for rides

The entry ticket does not cover the rides. Carnaval rides and games are pay per ride on the Wonder Pass card. Agree on a ride budget with your children before you go.

10. Wear good shoes and use the guest services

You walk a lot, so wear comfortable shoes. The park rents wheelchairs (from about AED 10), baby carts and lockers (both from about AED 15). Download the Global Village app for maps and show times.

What a family visit costs

At Season 30 prices, two adults and two children aged 3 or older pay about AED 100 on a weekday, or AED 120 with Any Day tickets. A toddler under 3 and a grandparent over 65 go in free. Add AED 75 to AED 120 if you want paid parking, plus your ride budget. If you are planning a move, our family budget for Dubai shows how outings like this fit into a normal month.
