Dubai Safari Park opening date and season
Season 8 opened on 12 October 2026. The park calls the season "Live More Wild Life". The official site has not announced a closing date yet. It only says that the park normally closes during the hottest summer months.
The opening week runs from 12 to 18 October. It brings a new stage show, roaming performers, safari parades and four stage shows a day. It also brings Little Explorers' Base Camp, a play zone for young children (more on that below).
Dubai Safari Park timings
These are the Dubai Safari Park timings listed on the official site for Season 8:
| What | Time |
|---|---|
| Park open | Every day, 9am to 6pm |
| Last entry | 5pm |
| Arabian Desert Safari (15 minutes) | 10am to 5:30pm |
| Explorer Safari Tour (35 minutes) | 10am to 5pm |
The park suggests you plan for four to five hours. Arrive at 9am if you can. The mornings are cooler, and you have time for the shows.
Dubai Safari Park tickets: prices for 2026-27
There is one main ticket, plus an upgrade and some private tours. These are the prices on the official tickets page in October 2026:
| Ticket | Price (2026) | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Safari Park Pass | AED 50 per person | All six zones, free parking, the 15-minute Arabian Desert Safari, live shows, kids' workshops and one free animal encounter |
| Children under 3 | Free | Same as the pass |
| People of Determination | Free | Valid ID needed |
| Safari Bundle (upgrade) | AED 67 on top of the pass | 35-minute Explorer Safari Tour, unlimited shuttle train, a souvenir shop voucher and a photo voucher |
| Behind the Scenes | AED 1,450 per group | Up to 10 guests, 90 minutes, five backstage visits |
| King of Safari | AED 2,500 per group | Up to 10 guests, private four-hour guided tour, three animal feedings, VIP parking |
So the pass with the Safari Bundle comes to about AED 117 per person. The Explorer Safari is the drive past the big cats, hippos, giraffes and rhinos. If seeing lions is the main reason for your trip, you need the bundle.
Tickets are valid only on the date you choose. They are single-use and cannot be refunded or exchanged, according to the park's terms and conditions.
Animal feedings cost extra
Feedings are paid add-ons. Giraffe feeding costs about AED 20 and runs at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. Lemur feeding costs about AED 75. Bird feeding and the pony walk are free. You can add them at checkout or buy them at the counter if places are left.
What is inside the park
The park has six themed zones:
- African Village: African animals and one of the two main dining areas.
- Asian Village: animals from Asia.
- Explorer Village: home of the giraffe feeding and the reptile encounter.
- Arabian Desert Safari: a short drive past Arabian oryx and sand gazelles.
- Kids Farm: right after the entrance, with goats, ponies and birds.

Emirates 24|7 reports that the park has more than 3,000 animals. Shuttle trains and buses connect the zones.

10 things to know before you visit Dubai Safari Park
1. Arrive at 9am
The park opens at 9am and the last entry is at 5pm. Mornings are cooler and calmer. You also get time for both safari drives and the shows.
2. Decide on the bundle before you buy
The AED 50 pass covers the zones and the short desert drive. The big cats and hippos are on the Explorer Safari, which comes with the AED 67 bundle.
3. Under 3s go in free
Children under 3 do not need a paid ticket. Children under 12 must be with an adult.
4. Check the National Day offer
The tickets page lists 50 percent off the Safari Park Pass on your own country's official National Day. Show your passport or an official ID at the counter. Ask the park first if you are not sure your day qualifies.
5. Do not bring food, pets or drones
Outside food and drinks, alcohol, pets (except service animals) and drones are not allowed. Smoking and vaping are only allowed in the marked areas. Restaurants, cafes and kiosks are inside.
6. Dress for heat and walking
Wear a hat, sunscreen and closed, comfortable shoes. The park asks guests to dress modestly, with shoulders and knees covered.
7. Plan around the show times
Birds Kingdom at 11am and Echoes of the Wild at 1pm fit well around a morning safari. Arrive 10 minutes early for a good seat.
8. Pick a quieter day
The first week is busy because it falls in the school mid-term break. Weekends and public holidays are usually busier too. If you are new here, read how the UAE weekend works.
9. Rent a stroller or wheelchair at the gate
Strollers, manual wheelchairs and mobility scooters can be rented at the main entrance. There are prayer rooms for men and women at several points in the park.
10. Do not feed animals on your own
Feeding is only allowed in the paid or free feeding sessions with staff. Follow staff instructions and stay out of closed areas.
What a family visit costs
Two adults and two children aged 3 or older pay about AED 200 with Safari Park Passes. With the Safari Bundle for all four, it is about AED 468. A baby under 3 goes in free, and parking is free. Add a little for feedings and food.
